About us

The National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) is a national multiethnic, multiracial partnership network of 60 of the country’s leading immigrant and refugee rights organizations who together advocate for policies and programs to successfully integrate New Americans as full contributors to our nation, able to build lives of dignity for themselves and their families. NPNA exists to: 1) strengthen immigrant and refugee voices in our nation by building the policy and program capacities of our member organizations; and, 2) pursue policy campaigns with our members at the local, state, and federal level; and, 3) deepen our strategic partnership to advance immigrant and refugee inclusion and equity in the United States. Our members organize their constituencies and advocate for better policies for the communities they represent. Our members also provide direct services, including immigration legal services, deportation defense, adult education, voter registration, financial literacy, workforce development, health care enrollment, and English classes. NPNA exists to leverage our members’ collective power and expertise to build a better nation for all.

  • 🌵Today, New American Voters and leaders from Mi Familia en Acción, Equis Labs, SEIU, iAmerica and the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) gathered for the final stop of the "Naturalized and Ready to Vote!" tour! 🎉 The powerful roundtable, led by actors Mishel Prada and Jose Velazquez, highlighted voices of naturalized citizens sharing what drives them to the polls—issues like immigration reform, the economy, climate change, and healthcare. With 62,000+ Arizonans newly eligible to vote since the last election, today's discussion was filled with determination and pride for the role New American Voters will play in shaping our future. 📣 “The only way for things to get better is if everyone goes out and votes,” said Eldiberto Rocha Torres, a recently naturalized citizen originally from Mexico. Join us in spreading the word—every vote counts! 🗳️ @imjosevelazquez @mishelprada @equisculture @seiu_org @mfenaccion @iamericaorg

  • Even though #NationalImmigrantsDay has passed, the contributions of immigrant communities to this country are worth celebrating every day. For millions of immigrants seeking safety and opportunity, a real celebration means ensuring they have a fair chance—a chance to understand their legal options, exercise their rights, and remain with their families and communities. This day commemorates the unveiling of the Statue of Liberty in 1886, a powerful symbol of hope, protection from persecution, and the pursuit of a better life. Yet, as we honor this legacy, we must also acknowledge that systemic barriers within our outdated immigration system still undermine the promise of refuge and opportunity. • Today, in honor of #NationalImmigrantsDay, New American Voters in Wisconsin cast their first-ever (early) Vote in Milwaukee today! "I didn't think I could do it [get my citizenship] but I did it. There's so much I can do with my citizenship, including the right to vote. I do it for my community, for my people." We are so proud of today's New American Voters originally from Burma and Mexico, who, on this special day, reached a pinnacle of their immigration journey- and it's only the beginning! Special Shoutout to: NPNA members @Voces_milwaukee and @CommunityCenterforImmigrants and National partners @SEIU and @iAmerica

  • In states like Wisconsin and North Carolina, voters will decide on constitutional amendments aimed at further restricting noncitizen voting—even though it’s already illegal and incredibly rare "Instead of being welcomed into the democratic process, you’re feeling like there is something wrong with participating if you’re not born in this country. That’s a really bad message to send to anybody." – Nancy Flores, Deputy Director of @NpNewAmericans. Read more: https://bit.ly/4hkAAc9
