Watch this recording of a panel discussion held earlier this year at NRECA's #PowerXchange24 in San Antonio, where panelists talked about why the electric co-op model is the solution to bring energy access to Zambia's rural communities. We were privileged to have insights from Linus Chanda, CEO of the Rural Electrification Authority Zambia, Doreen Chipika Bwalya, our program manager for the USAID-funded Zambia Electric Cooperative Development Program, Miles Kuschel, Board Chair of Todd-Wadena Electric Co-op, and our vice president, Nicholas Allen. Zuraidah Hoffman moderated the discussion. #ItStartsWithPower https://lnkd.in/dtNfzJYU

🚨Hurricane Milton Update🚨 Florida’s electric cooperatives made dramatic progress in restoring power after Hurricane Milton pummeled the state last week. The five NRECA member co-ops that sustained the most damage reported nearly 330,000 outages initially, but crews had slashed that number down to just 3,600 by Monday afternoon.
