  • 💸 $1.1 Billion were lost to scams in Singapore in 2024, and one case cost $57 Million. A Singapore commodities company fell victim to a business email compromise (BEC) scam, transferring $57.2 million to a fraudulent bank account after receiving what seemed like a legitimate vendor email. This was just one of the 51,501 reported scam cases in Singapore last year. The total losses? A staggering 70% increase from 2023. Scammers don’t need control over your accounts. They manipulate victims into sending the money themselves. And by the time businesses realize it’s a scam, it’s too late. 🔗 Read the full story and see how financial leaders can fight back: https://hubs.ly/Q03d3QZ20 #FraudPrevention #BECScam #PaymentSecurity #CyberSecurity #RiskManagement

  • Payments fraud is not slowing down. New data on attempted and actual payments fraud in 2023 reveals a stark reality: 🔹 80% of organizations experienced payments fraud last year. 🔹 Larger organizations (over $1B revenue) faced even higher exposure, with 83% encountering fraud. 🔹 Companies with fewer than 26 payment accounts saw the highest fraud rate at 86% - a reminder that complexity isn’t always the risk factor. 🔹 Organizations with more than 100 payment accounts saw an 80% fraud rate, highlighting the need for robust controls at scale. The message is clear: fraud is pervasive, and no organization is immune. Whether you’re a growing business or a global enterprise, securing payment processes is mission-critical. How are you safeguarding your business from these growing threats? #PaymentsSecurity #FraudPrevention #EnterpriseRisk #CyberSecurity #nsKnox
