As you learned last week, NuCO2’s XactMix blender provides the correct blend of nitrogen and CO2 to your draft beer system. How do you know if you need blended gas and what the proper blend will be for your system? Several factors play into that answer, and NuCO2 has the expertise and customized XactMix blend options to help you achieve the proper blend of gas to eliminate waste, maximize your profits, and balance your system for the perfect pour. Did you know that even short draw beer systems can benefit from blended gas? When kegs are kept under pressure for more than 72 hours, the remaining beer in the keg will start to absorb CO2 and increase the CO2 content of the beer in the keg, which will result in excess foaming at the tap. NuCO2’s 80/20 XactMix blender (80% CO2 & 20% N2) is designed specifically for short draw beer systems to prevent this excess foaming. If you are experiencing foamy beer, even on a short draw system, please call 800-472-2855 and schedule one of our trained representatives to stop by to provide a free consultation on your draft beer system. #NuCO2 #xactco2 #bulkco2 #perfectpour #beer #fountainsoda #moreprofit #lesswaste

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots in June 1969 that inspired the historic gay liberation movement and the fight for LBGT rights that followed. Today, it is the celebration of the LGBTQIA2S+ identity and a call to action to recognize pressing issues about equality above all else. In the workplace, pride celebrations offer a chance to raise awareness and support your LGBTQIA2S+ employees. NuCO2 is thrilled to celebrate Pride Month this June. The LogiCO2 MK9 Horn/Strobe comes standard with 4 different alarm notification levels that are based on CO2 concentration levels. CO2 makes up .04% of the ambient air we breathe, or around 400 ppm (parts per million). The Horn/Strobe will alarm according to corresponding CO2 concentration received by the sensor, and signage adjacent to the Horn/Strobe explains the alarm: LogiCO2’s level 1 alarm is an “awareness alert”, which alarms at .5%, or 5000 ppm. There is no immediate danger, but notification is provided for elevated CO2 levels. LogiCO2’s level 2 alarm is an alert that exceeds OSHA’s “permissible exposure limit” (PEL), which is a measure of CO2 concentration over 5,000 ppm over an 8-hour time weighted average. LogiCO2’s level 3 alarm is an alert triggered at 1.5% CO2 levels, or 15,000 ppm, meaning CO2 concentration levels are very elevated and needs addressed immediately. LogiCO2’s level 4 alarm is a “high alarm” alert compliant with National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 72 and triggers at 3.0% CO2 concentration levels, or 30,000 ppm. The location should be evacuated, and first responders called to acknowledge it’s safe to re-enter. The LogiCO2 unit also comes standard with a self-diagnostic alert, indicating there is a system fault and service is needed. Want to learn more? How are you monitoring O2 levels in your beer cooler where nitrogen or blended CO2/N2 gas is being used? Did you know that increased nitrogen (N2) levels can decrease oxygen (O2) levels? In the event of a nitrogen leak, CO2 concentration could remain within an acceptable range while oxygen depletion is occurring. So, it is important to have both CO2 sensors and O2 sensors in your beer cooler! The LogiCO2 MK9 O2 Sensor integrates directly with the LogiCO2 MK9 Central Alarm Unit and measures oxygen level in the room or area where the O2 sensor is installed. The sensor activates an alert if O2 concentration reaches pre-set alarm levels. Want to learn more? Visit: https://brnw.ch/21wJ5pE #NuCO2 #Safety #Compliance #Service
