    PURA VITA in Los Angeles dominated the most recent VegNews restaurant awards, voted Best Vegan Italian Restaurant AND Best Vegan Pizzeria in the whole country. NUMU is their nut-free, dairy-free mozzarella of choice. Chef Tara Punzone (from Brooklyn, of course!) opened Pura Vita in 2018 to fill the void for authentic #vegan Italian fare. She now has locations in both West Hollywood and Redondo Beach.

    Plantega is bringing plant-based quesadillas to the streets! Elizabeth and Daniel from Plantega were recently sampling their Chorizo & Cheese Quesadilla outside the Green Deli & Grill in New York City’s West Village, while fielding questions about plant-based foods. The quesadillas are made with NUMU's melty #vegan mozzarella and Abbot's savory #plantbased chorizo. NUMU is most commonly used for pizza, but it also works amazingly well for dairy-free Mexican cuisine. You can try it in a quesadilla at almost 60 Plantega locations in New York City or via delivery from Plantega’s new 100% plant-based kitchen in Brooklyn.

    VEGAN BREWERY UPGRADES TO NUMU PIG MINDS BREWING CO., America's first 100% #vegan brewery, has upgraded its dairy-free pizza to NUMU vegan mozzarella. Located in Machesney Park, Illinois, the brewery has been in operation for over 12 years. They specialize in handcrafted ales and German Lagers, while offering live music and a fully-plant-based dining experience. The menu boasts house-made appetizers, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, and desserts. Recent weekend specials include cheezy breadsticks and a Reuben-sandwich-inspired pizza, both featuring NUMU vegan mozzarella. Check them out at pigmindsbrewing.com

    PLANTEGA LAUNCHES MANAGED KITCHEN IN BROOKLYN NUMU partner Plantega opened its first fully self-managed flagship kitchen in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Plantega currently serves NUMU #vegan mozzarella at almost 60 bodegas in all 5 boroughs of New York City, offering 100% plant-based chick’n parms, quesadillas and more. The new Plantega Kitchen & Catering is the first time consumers can order direct from Plantega’s own 100% plant-based facility. It will also allow them to fulfill large corporate catering orders and prepare them to expand into cities that don't have the same “bodega infrastructure” as NYC.     AWARD-WINNING BREWERY UPGRADES TO NUMU The Mitten Brewing Co. is a vintage baseball-themed microbrewery in Michigan that expertly pairs handcrafted beers with gourmet pizzas, offering “Pints and Pizza with a Purpose.” Founded in a decommissioned Victorian firehouse in Grand Rapids, and expanded to locations in Northport and Naugatuck, the brewery bas been voted “Best Pizza” five times by both Grand Rapids Magazine and Revue West Michigan, in addition taking home wins at the World Beer Cup (“the Olympics of Beer”) in 2016, 2022, and 2023.     MANO’S PIZZERIA VOTED TOP TEN IN THE U.S. Longtime NUMU customer Mano’s Pizzeria was recently voted the #4 BEST SLICE in the entire country, by TOP 50 PIZZA. Founder and Chef Nicholas Manopella said, “When I opened Mano’s I knew I wanted to provide an extraordinarily product. One that could bridge the gap from Italy to America, using high quality ingredients.” Mano’s is, he says, “a love letter to my Italian family and ancestors.” Chef Nick has been offering NUMU as his dairy-free, #vegan option since he opened in 2021, in Ridgewood, Queens. In New York City, NUMU is available via Ace Endico, Ace Natural, The Chefs Warehouse, Sansone Foods, US Foods and Woolco Foods.
