We welcomed Erica Tremblay, Miciana Alise, and Tafv Sampson to Northwest Film Forum last night for a conversation about Fancy Dance. They were welcomed at a filmmaker reception by our incredible Board of Directors, our community of local filmmakers and generous supporters of the Forum and the Lynn Shelton 'Of a Certain Age' Grant. This powerful trio of Indigenous women will continue the conversation TONIGHT with a Filmmaking Masterclass at 6:30PM at Northwest Film Forum. They will be talking about the challenges and rewards of getting FANCY DANCE made, share inside stories, script-to-screen analysis, and highlight the importance of grants and other institutional support in the film’s journey.
