We are New Yorkers building the political power needed to win child care for all kids under 5.
About us
New Yorkers United for Child Care is a brand new organization made up of parents, and would-be parents, in New York City, who are organizing to build the political power needed to win free universal child care for all. As parents, and would-be parents, we are finding this city increasingly unlivable for New York’s working and middle-class families. Together we are harnessing the power of our communities to win the transformational change New Yorkers deserve and build a fairer, more livable city for families to call home. New Yorkers shouldn’t just be angry and frustrated. New Yorkers shouldn’t have to leave our city and state to raise a family. They should be organized into a political constituency and ready to hold elected officials accountable. By organizing parents of young children and New Yorkers who are considering building a family right here in New York City we will build a strong grassroots organizing effort and lend a new source of power to the fight for universal child care.
