Thank You to Everyone for Making the 2nd Annual Life Sciences Day 2024 a Success! What an inspiring collaboration across New York City's life science community! A huge thank you to Monica Malowney, M.P.H., Mikko Baylosis, and New York City Economic Development Corporation for being our lead sponsors—your support brought this vision to life. Opening Remarks from Viq Pervaaz, Seema Kumar, Mark Viech, and Pablo Legorreta set the stage perfectly with words of wisdom and encouragement for our next generation of scientists. Kyesha Ruffin M. Ed. and Science in the City, thank you for partnering with us to bring 250 students into the heart of the life sciences industry, giving them a first-hand look at career possibilities. And a special thanks to Coefficient Health for creating our event map and to Freshfields for helping to sponsor this incredible day. Cheers to the SIX Life Sciences Buildings and Companies who hosted these students, making their experience truly unforgettable: Alexandria LaunchLabs, Biolabs@NYULangone, Cure., SOSV/IndieBio, Taystee Lab Building (Janus Property Company), Innovation Triangle - West Harlem, and West End Labs. Of course, a big round of applause goes to the dedicated students and teachers who joined us from these fantastic schools: Belmont Prep High School, Cristo Rey New York High School, DREAM Charter School, Eagle Academy for Young Men, East Harlem Tutorial Program, High School for Health Professions & Human Services, International Baccalaureate World School, John Dewey High School, The Judith S. Two weeks ago, the Brooklyn Army Terminal transformed into a mecca for food, culture, and music as we welcomed the Food Network New York City Wine and Food Festival to its new home! Over four days, we hosted seven major events that brought together food lovers and celebrity chefs, including Snoop Dogg, Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, and Dr. Dre. The festival was filled with delicious food, lively cooking demos, and hands-on experiences that truly celebrated culinary creativity. A huge shoutout to our amazing team for their hard work in making this our largest event to date. We're honored to host this marquee event, highlighting the potential for grand and large-scale events at BAT. I look forward to years of continued partnership to bring even more exciting events to life! #NYCEDC #NYCWFF #FoodNetwork #BrooklynArmyTerminal #GodsLoveWeDeliver #NYCEvents

Last week, Cure proudly partnered with Life Science Cares New York to bring high school students from across NYC together for the second annual Life Sciences Day, in collaboration with the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Students who joined us at Cure experienced hands-on experiment workshops and enjoyed networking lunches with leaders from our Cure resident companies, including Wandercraft, Deerfield Catalyst, Excelsior Sciences, Advancium Health Network, Evommune and Lexeo Therapeutics. At Cure, we believe in the power of the next generation to drive healthcare innovation. As our CEO, Seema Kumar, says: “The future of healthcare innovation lies in the hands of the next generation. Events like Life Sciences Day provide students with the invaluable opportunity to see firsthand how science can transform lives and how their passion and creativity can shape the future.” Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing day! Together, we’re inspiring tomorrow’s stem leaders. #NextGenInnovators #STEMEducation #HealthcareInnovation
