New Law: Relates to contracted compensation payments: provides for the payment of freelance workers as independent contractors, including requiring written contracts; timely payment of compensation and, handling controversies relating to payment, complaint procedures, and penalties. New Law: Requires one voting member of the metropolitan transportation authority to be a transit-dependent individual who is limited to public transit as their primary mode of transportation because the individual has a permanent disability.
