O, Miami was recently featured in this The Washington Post story about cuts made to crucial arts funding across our state. The piece spotlights Mikah Amani, Sunroom teacher and O, Miami Greenhouse Alum who has been personally affected by these funding cuts to art organizations that provide opportunities for working artists that wouldn’t be available otherwise. This year alone we have paid $149,323 directly to 80+ multidisciplinary artists including teaching artists and emerging writers. We are so proud to be a part of the diverse, brilliant arts community in our state, and are steadfast in our commitment to building a stronger Miami and a stronger Florida where art and self-expression are equally available to everyone. Please consider supporting O, Miami by 📚Purchasing a book 🤝Volunteering with us 💚Making a donation Read the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/e-kKNK4Q
