CAHIP - OC is very concerned about this announcement from Aetna and Anthem Medicare plans. Eliminating commissions from Medicare Agents effective November 1, 2024, for 2025 plans not only impacts agents, but it hurts seniors.
🚨 Developing Story: Aetna & Anthem Medicare Plan Commissions 🚨 This week, both Aetna, a CVS Health Company and Elevance Health (Anthem) have communicated to agents that, for several Medicare plans in numerous markets across the country, they will no longer be paying commissions for new enrollments submitted on or after November 1, 2024, for 2025 effective dates. NABIP's Medicare Advisory Group and staff are laser focused on this issue, as agents and brokers are being given less than 24 hours' notice in some cases.
