Odin, in partnership with Ecosystem Investment Partners and its stakeholders, including the California Department of Water Resources, federal, and state agencies, is proud to announce substantial completion of the Lookout Slough Tidal Habitat Restoration and Flood Improvement Project, marking the first time in over a century that tidal waters are flowing back into 3,400 acres of newly restored wetland habitat. Odin’s role as the prime contractor involved critical construction activities such as the excavation of 22 miles of channels and the breaching of nine levee segments along Shag Slough. These channels are designed to align with the natural tidal patterns, enabling the restored wetlands to fill and drain in harmony with the tides. We’re proud to have been a part of this monumental effort to safeguard both California’s environment and its people. As our summer internships come to a close, we want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible interns for their hard work and valuable contributions. They tackled exciting projects, learned new skills, and made a lasting impact on our team. While some of our interns are heading back to school to continue their academic journeys, others have successfully transitioned into full-time positions with us at Odin. Grant Jave, Project Engineer in our Gulf Coast region, reflected on his experience from his Summer 2024 internship: “My advice to future interns would be to jump in with both feet! Ask questions, take detailed notes, and reflect on your daily experiences to solidify your learning. I’m already referencing my internship notes as I head back to school and applying them to my coursework.” Team Odin is excited to see our interns continue their journeys and wishes them all the best as they pursue their academic and professional goals! #CareerGrowth #OdinInterns #MissionFirstPeopleAlways #engineeringinternship #internship #intern #joinourteam #wearehiring
