Yesterday, a team of 19 dedicated employees from our Illinois offices rolled up their sleeves in Hanover Park, IL, partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Illinois to help a family realize the stability of homeownership. From building a retaining wall to laying hardwood floors, our team was all in—demonstrating the power of collaboration and community spirit. This initiative reflects our ongoing dedication to positively impacting our local communities by partnering with various organizations to give back. Our volunteers proudly sported their Office Revolution Gives Back t-shirts and enjoyed a well-deserved lunch from Jimmy John’s, all while contributing to a cause we deeply believe in! Our team in Columbus, OH, recently joined forces with Habitat in June, and we’re proud to continue this impactful partnership across all of our offices. Our "Warm Minimalist" mood board represents a sophisticated blend of minimalist industrial and modern design elements with a mixture of earthy tones and soft grays with a pop of bright red. Surrounding this focal point are various wall finishes: smooth gray and dark taupe paint samples are contrasted with Bahia sand wallpaper printed on handwoven grasscloth offering unique variations in texture. Taking center stage is the Scandinavian Spaces Sparta chair in bright red. This chic design is not only sleek but functional, as the reversible chair is capable of unfolding in either direction. When not in use, the folding chair's convenient lay-flat design can be stored on the wall as a style statement. Eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing, the Camira beige Main Line Flax fabric is made from the finest nature has to offer. A blend of pure wool and harvested flax creates this multi-tonal fabric, contributing to a sustainable and luxurious atmosphere. Natural elements are artfully intermixed into the design with Carlisle Wide Plank Floors in White Oak. The gentle white finish of the grain adds a creamy softness, while the light gray knotholes introduce visual depth. Succulents adorn walls and tables, seamlessly blending nature into the indoor environment. The Camira Dolly in shade Herdwick retains the raw beauty of wool in its purest state, adding warmth and comfort to the space. Together, these elements create a harmonious balance between industrial chic and earthy warmth, perfect for a minimalistic office environment. Last week we hosted a group of inspiring young ladies from Polished Pebbles Girls Mentoring Program for an exciting design workshop day! The girls kicked off the day with a tour of the Teknion showroom followed by an engaging design workshop with a twist, forming into small groups to use miniature furniture pieces to design office spaces that foster friendship and social connection. Each group presented their unique designs, showcasing their creativity and understanding of how design elements influence our experiences. This event is part of our ongoing partnership with Polished Pebbles, aligning with our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). We aim to expose underrepresented communities to the world of design and inspire future careers. The feedback from the girls was overwhelmingly positive, and we are thrilled to have provided an eye-opening experience that could shape their futures!
