OhioHealth is the first in Columbus to offer two new technologies for breast cancer patients – Magtrace® and Sentimag®. These advancements allow for more precise detection and removal of cancer, reducing unnecessary surgeries. “Cancer patients often go through so much stress in terms of surgeries, appointments and the general unknown,” said Deepa Halaharvi, DO, OhioHealth breast and cancer surgeon. “Anytime we can ease their journey in any way and potentially avoid a surgery is going to be a benefit to the patient and help them avoid that recovery and side effects, when possible.” Read more about these life-changing surgical innovations: ohlth.co/4ec1VdL. #OhioHealthLeads #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

OhioHealth is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. Our Disability Awareness Wellness Network (DAWN), an associate-led business resource group, hosted an event this week to help raise awareness around the topic of disability employment within the organization. Attendees learned ways to promote an inclusive work environment, how to support co-workers with disabilities and heard personal stories from associates and a patient. #OhioHealthForAll I #NDEAM
