PRACTICE MOVE & EXPANSION | In March, The University of Kansas Health System opened a new Obstetrics and Gynecology practice in Olathe at a temporary location. Today, Aug. 5, we opened the practice’s permanent location at the Olathe Health Pavilion. So much to celebrate! Yesterday, The Olathe Health Charitable Foundation presented Olathe Health nurses and other clinical support staff with scholarships and awards. Through generous donations to the foundation, we are able to support our staff as they continue their education and are recognized for exemplary work. The day before, the Auxiliary Board at Miami County Medical Center held its annual Miami County Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship Presentation, gifting recognized MCMC staff with funds to further their education.

Earlier this year, community members from Johnson, Miami and Linn counties completed the Community Health Needs Assessment survey and attended in-person Town Halls. This feedback and the research we collected determined the needs of these communities, helping populate the fifth Community Health Needs Assessments for Olathe Medical Center and Miami County Medical Center.
