🚀 How do you lead a team when you always like to be in control? 🚀 How do you cope with imposter syndrome? 🚀 How do you create an environment where people feel empowered to be open and honest about their own performance? These were some of the fantastic questions posed to us by the team leaders at E.ON Next at their office in Leicester this week as part of BFY Group's award winning Limitless Leadership Programme. It was brilliant to deliver our Keynote and share some of our story with them, but we were also absolutely buzzing from their feedback and these were some of our thoughts around their questions... 💥 If we don’t give our teams a level of autonomy, then how will they learn?! 💥 They might know how to do things our way, but is our way the ‘best’ way? 💥 How will they be stretched and how will they develop into a leader themselves? 💥 Do you have your own ‘wall of evidence’ that you can reply upon when confidence is low? 💥 As a leader, do you create a ‘safe space’ and share your own mistakes to encourage people to speak up? Some food for thought for your Thursday afternoon…how do you tackle these challenges? A huge thank you to Kevin Brown at BFY Group for inviting us to contribute and to share our thoughts! #inspirationalspeakers #keynotespeakers #leadership

About us
Together, we can retell our extraordinary experiences of flying from a unique perspective. We were one of only a handful of female fast jet crews to fly together in the world, having commanded and operated a £50 million Tornado Fighter jet. We can weave our stories from an individual as well as a crew perspective to give exceptional insights which are rarely heard.

It was an absolute delight to meet so many people during half term at the The Royal Air Force Museum on Friday! A huge thank you to everyone who attended and asked questions. If we have inspired just one person then that's a mission success! Helen Seymour and Nic “Rosie” Steevenson
Wow! One of the best things about starting our OnAMission journey, has been the opportunity to meet young people, to share our experiences with them and to encourage them to go for their dreams. **You’ll miss 100% of the shots you don’t take** Thank you to the The Royal Air Force Museum for giving us a stage to speak with young and old alike at the RAF Museum on Friday. It was fantastic to do a meet and greet at the jet too! #keynotespeaking #highperformance #inspirationalstories

Delighted to have been asked to speak by BFY Group to help facilitate the training of the E.ON Next team at Bolton! I never thought I would go to the Bolton Wanderers football stadium to watch football, let alone speak about my experiences as a fast jet pilot! But as we all know, you have to fight what you see! Great day out and lots of fantastic engagement! Looking forward to the next one! #keynotespeaking #onamission

Thank you The Royal Air Force Museum. We are very excited to share our stories!
👉 Join us at our London site on 1 November 2024 as we welcome one of the first all female fighter crews in the world – Helen Seymour, the RAF’s first female typhoon pilot, and Rosie Stevenson, a former frontline Tornado navigator. They will be sharing their experiences of life in the RAF. Helen and Rosie will talk through how they came to join the RAF, sharing experiences from both an individual and a crew’s perspective in fascinating talk taking place in our Hangar 3 Lecture Theatre at 1.00pm. 🕐 This will contain rarely heard insights into the life on the front line. How did they work so well under pressure, and how did they learn to operate so effectively in such a high-performance culture? How do they hope to inspire future generations? Their talk in our lecture theatre will answer these questions and more. Then after their talk Rosie and Helen will move to Hangar 4 to answer questions from the public beside the Tornado, the aircraft they flew in together. ✈ Reserve your place now at: https://lnkd.in/eHPVzBth Admission to this talk and the Q&A sessions are free of charge. The latest issue of Flight International is out now (online). Hardcopy is out next week. Check it out!
When I was a teenage girl, my Dad used to buy me copies of Flight International and fold over the job advert pages, I think in the hope it would wear off! I never dreamed I would one day have an article featuring me, inside it! A huge thank you to Craig Hoyle, editor of Flight International, who bravely sat through my Amy Johnson lecture at the Royal Aeronautical Society and then decided to write about it! My Dad, needn't have worried, as he'd already sown the seed... The latest copy of Flight International magazine is available online now. The hard copy is out a week today! https://lnkd.in/enNK8H95
