I am thrilled to officially announce the launch of the OneLegacy billboard campaign. Our aim is to inspire people to save lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation, whether that means registering as a donor or becoming part of the OneLegacy team. We are grateful to partner with Clear Channel Outdoor for helping us amplify this lifesaving mission. Bulletins and posters will be displayed throughout Southern California for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025. As you go about your daily activities, keep an eye out—you may just spot a familiar face!

We were delighted to participate in and present at the 2024 Kidney/Pancreas Transplant & Nephrology Symposium organized by the UCI School of Medicine. Our presentation focused on organ donation and how our lifesaving mission is making a difference in the counties we serve. It’s always a pleasure to encounter Dr. Robert R. Redfield II and Dr. Uttam G. Reddy. In addition, being able to connect with our colleagues in the donation and transplant field is always a pleasure. We are grateful to the UCI School of Medicine for hosting such a meaningful event and look forward to future opportunities to connect, learn, and grow.

Epic keynote day, this time for OneLegacy, the nation's largest organ ❤️, eye 👁️, and tissue 💪 recovery organization, serving as the region's "bridge to life", connecting donors to patients in need. Have a pink dot on your driver's license? That's them! Very humbling to be in the midst of such a large group all committed to saving lives, serving 215 hospitals, 9 transplant centers and a diverse population of 20 million folks in the region. Incredible. In advance of the keynote, we toured their headquarters in Azusa, California, and interviewed a cross section of the organization to ensure that my keynote was customized and focused on their industry. I didn't want to mess this one up! And, based on the 280 people in line for book 📗 signing afterwards, I think we made successful impact together! Special thanks for the invite OneLegacy and especially CEO Prasad Garimella, Mayra Alfaro, Tom Seto, Aaron Cheng, Rechelle M., and the entire team! Jacob Green and Associates

Yesterday, the OneLegacy Azusa Transplant Recovery Center hosted our 12th Annual Donation and Transplantation Symposium titled “The New Frontier!” This is OneLegacy’s fifth symposium this year, and we are so pleased to continue to support our hospital partners and the community in learning more about donation and transplantation. With over 175 hospital care team members in attendance, we embarked on an incredible educational journey, exploring the latest advancements in donation and transplantation that are shaping the future of healthcare. A special thank you to our extraordinary speakers, whose knowledge and expertise will inspire our hospital partners to bring these valuable insights back to their donation programs. We are grateful for their impactful presentations, which included: Jaclyn Russe RN, MSN, CPTC, LSSBB from Nevada Donor Network, Inc., who shared a fascinating look at the science and legalities behind organ allocation- the key to successful transplants. Lisa Stocks, MSN, RN, FNP, LSSBB from OneLegacy who guided us on an enlightening exploration of the latest technological breakthroughs and innovations driving the exciting future of transplantation. Dr. Miriam Cotler, Ethicist at OneLegacy, who provided an engaging examination of the ethical considerations underlying practices within hospitals and OneLegacy. Marilyn Batchelor, EMBA, MATM, BCC, Ph.D  from Providence Saint John's Health Center, who led a great discussion on how various faith traditions view donation and how we can incorporate those traditions into supporting families. Christopher Blanton, M.D., Ocular Medical Director and Kimberly Gestoso, from OneLegacy, who presented a comprehensive overview of OneLegacy’s industry-leading eye bank and the critical role of cornea donation in restoring vision. Thanks to the generosity of organ donors and donor families in our community, 202 lifesaving transplants were made possible last month in August. Working together with our donor hospital partners, OneLegacy set a nationwide record of 1,946 organ transplants in the last year.    We are deeply grateful to the donors and families who said “yes” to donation, and particularly those families who chose to transfer their loved ones to OneLegacy’s Azusa Transplant Recovery Center. At our state-of-the-art facility, families are provided 24-hour support, and organ donation is optimized with specialized care and technology to save more lives than ever before.  #OneLegacy #SavingLives #OrganDonation

In August, we observe National Minority Donor Awareness Month to honor donors and recipients from diverse communities who have generously given the gift of life or received the gift of life. 💙💚 The significance lies in the fact that many individuals are awaiting life-saving transplants, with 60% of those on the national transplant waiting list coming from minority communities. Together, we can save lives. Register today to be an organ, eye and tissue donor. Get that pink dot on your license! #OneLegacy #NMDAM #OLNMDAM #OrganDonation #TransplantRecipients

A busy day at the OneLegacy Azusa office, with the entire conference center bustling with OneLegacy staff, partners, surgeons, and representatives from our local transplant centers. In the first meeting room, we hosted the OrganOx Training session. Surgeons and representatives from Cedars-Sinai, Keck Medicine of USC, Loma Linda University Health, UC San Diego Health, and UCLA Health were in attendance. The whole group was able to join the OneLegacy team in the OR and check out all the of our equipment. At the second meeting room, OneLegacy is gathering a lot staff for our upcoming billboard campaign. Our goal is to highlight the dedicated work of our staff members. All the billboards will be posted all around the seven counties we serve! You may see one in your hometown. In the last meeting room, was Dr. Verble Workshop. A 2-day workshop dedicated to best practices in organ donation conversations. This workshop aims to equip Family Care Specialists with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively communicate the importance and nuances of organ donation for the families we serve. #OneLegacy #SavingLives #Organdonation #transplants
