What’s driving the tremendous growth in officially licensed women’s sports merchandise? The latest License Global cover story dives into this exciting trend: 🔺 Sports Innovation Lab estimates the market at $4B+ annually. 🔺 WNBA, NWSL, and USWNT athlete-licensed merchandise is experiencing high double-digit YOY growth. 🔺 New top-tier licensees are stepping up to meet rising fan demand. (Watch for the rise of women’s rugby!). A great appreciation to License Global/Ian Hart for shining a spotlight on this booming opportunity, the talented teams at OneTeam Partners and our Players Association partners for making it happen as well as Esther Wallace, Maggie Hirshouer, Jason Howarth, and Andrea Hopelain for participating in the story and setting the bar high for others in this industry! And the most exciting part? We’re just getting started!

NWSL Players haven't just made history... they've redefined it. They secured freedom over their careers, becoming the first American major pro sport to eliminate the draft, securing free agency for all in a groundbreaking new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This historic deal also ensures no trades without Player consent, guaranteed contracts, revenue sharing, and workload management safeguards to protect Player health. It's incredible to witness such bold action from our partner, the National Women's Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA). We're proud to represent these remarkable women—and all athletes across our unions. They continue to set a powerful precedent and pave the way for player rights beyond the whistle. Some said it would never happen. #WeSaidNow Details: www.wesaidnow.com

We’re excited to announce that the Japanese Baseball Players Association (JPBPA) is now the first official partner of OneTeam International, marking a new era for Japanese baseball players. In Sapporo, Japan this week, leaders from the JPBPA, the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), including Executive Director Tony Clark, and Jonas Baer-Hoffmann, SVP of Global Affairs & Head of OneTeam International, gathered to explore new opportunities for players of Nippon Professional Baseball. This partnership is about more than just commercial collaboration; it’s focused on empowering the players and their union, enhancing career opportunities, and developing more player-led business and fan engagement ventures. Through joint initiatives between these influential unions, like the MLBPA’s “Players Way” youth development program and the charitable activities of the JPBPA and MLBPA’s “Players Trust,” they’re already making a significant impact both on and off the field. Athletes are at the core of our mission, and this partnership represents a monumental step in expanding athlete influence and securing their rights globally.

What a historic night! As the culmination of the WNBPA (Women’s National Basketball Players Association)'s groundbreaking partnership with Aflac, Allisha Gray became the first player in WNBA history to win both the All-Star Skills Challenge and the 3-Point Contest on the same night. Thanks to this partnership, Allisha is taking home a well-earned $110,000 bonus for her achievements. Celebrating and watching the check presentations from Aflac and our friends at Creative Artists Agency with her in Phoenix in the Google Pixel Players’ Lounge was truly special. Aflac’s support and promotion of women athletes is game-changing. Huge thank you, again, to everyone who stepped up to make this moment happen for Allisha and all women of the W!
