"Studies have shown that as little as two hours a week spent in nature can lead to improved health." But what’s driving these positive effects? → Relaxation Response: Time in natural settings may activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. → Immune Boost: Trees release beneficial compounds like phytoncides and cytokines, which might strengthen our immune system. Incorporating nature into your routine could be a simple yet impactful way to support your long-term #health. 🌲✨ https://lnkd.in/ex7DsD_J

When it comes to discussing the climate crisis, you've likely heard the terms global warming and climate change. While often used interchangeably, they have distinct meanings. → NASA defines climate change as a long-term shift in weather patterns, affecting biodiversity, ocean temperatures, and more frequent natural disasters. → Global warming, on the other hand, refers specifically to the Earth's surface heating due to the buildup of greenhouse gases. 🌏 Understanding these differences is key to taking meaningful climate action.

Exciting progress in #NewBrunswick – 83,400 trees have taken root! 🌲 This reforestation project is more than just trees; it’s about restoring moose habitat and protecting this iconic species from increased hunting. We’ve also woven over 2.5 kilometers of trails through the landscape for the local community to explore and enjoy. These trees will grow to become champions of carbon sequestration, helping combat climate change while building resilience against its impacts. A win for wildlife, the environment, and the people! 🌿 #Reforestation #WildlifeConservation #ClimateAction

23,751 trees planted in #Australia! 🌳👏 Our progress calls for a celebration, and this incredible project is part of it! 🌱 Trees were planted on seven farms across Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia, with guidance on locally native, pollinator-friendly species. Over 121 species from native genera, including acacia, melaleuca, and eucalyptus, were planted, offering ecological, agricultural, and economic benefits alongside their value to pollinators. 🐝 The flowering trees planted in this project will support over 2,700 species of native bees and other Australian pollinators like butterflies, moths, wasps, and bats. Pollinators play a vital role in ecosystems, providing food, water, and shelter for wildlife. Bees are keystone species, and without them, many ecosystems couldn't survive. Australia also has 13 species of fruit bats, which are key pollinators. #reforestation #climateaction #polinators #impact
