Excellence in breast health and imaging services starts with our team. Meet Lesley Grasch, a mammography technologist who serves our patients at affiliate Axia Women's Health - Center for Breast Health in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Lesley makes it her mission to make women feel comfortable and at ease while getting their mammograms – especially knowing that it could save their lives. Described by her colleagues as personal and comforting, Lesley embodies Onsite's core value of being committed to building relationships. Recently, Lesley was presented with a letter of gratitude from a patient who stated she made her feel “safe and comfortable” during her first mammogram. The impact that Lesley – and our more than 350 mammography technologists – have on our patients and the fight against breast cancer is truly profound. "The only reason I caught this cancer when it is still stage zero is because the day I got my text message that my yearly mammogram came up, I made the appointment." Early breast cancer detection saves lives. We applaud actress Danielle Fishel for sharing her story after recently being diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer called ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) at age 43. According to the American Cancer Society, approximately 1 in 5 new breast cancers will be DCIS – a pre-invasive group of cancerous cells that have not yet spread to the breast tissue surrounding it. But it can metastasize to other parts of the body if not removed. Nearly all women with this early stage of breast cancer can be cured. "It would be so much easier with as busy as I am, with the 50 jobs I have and the two kids and the husband and the house, to say, ‘I don’t have time for that. I went to my mammogram last year, I was fine last year, I don't need to go again this year,” shared Danielle. “I hope that it [my story] will encourage anyone to get their mammogram.” Learn more about Danielle’s breast cancer journey and schedule your mammogram today: https://bit.ly/3WSIRuB. #EarlyDetection #BreastCancer #Mammogram

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has proposed a rule to improve patients’ access to medical images and curb the use of physical media in radiology. According to an article in Radiology Business, X-rays, CT scans and MRIs are often stored in platforms external to electronic health records, such as picture archiving and communication systems. However, this has made the electronic exchange of images more difficult, forcing patients to obtain their results via flash drives or CDs. In an effort to elevate the patient and clinician journey through advancements in medical image exchange, Onsite Women’s Health recently partnered with Medicom Technologies Inc. to set the stage for transformative advancements in breast cancer detection. “Following an extensive search, we determined that Medicom offers the most comprehensive solution for sharing images and reports across our more than 125 locations in 26 states,” said Jillian Wright, chief executive officer at Onsite Women’s Health. “This partnership and investment is part of our broader strategy to use technology to support our clinicians, detect breast cancer, and enhance patient care.” The American College of Radiology reported Thursday that the HHS is proposing to update regulations related to the certification of EHR systems and info blocking. The goal is for certified EHRs to include links to medical images beginning Jan. 1, 2028. ➡️ Learn more and read the full article in Radiology Business: https://bit.ly/4fEdLPS. #OnsiteTechnology #EHR #BreastCancer #Radiology #MedicalImagingExchange #MedicalImaging

When it comes to breast health, there are individuals who stand out as true heroes. Today, we are shining a spotlight on Michele Sesny, a patient service representative at affiliate Ocean OB/GYN in Ocean, New Jersey. Michele was recently honored as an 'Onsite Hero' for her proactive approach and diligence in scheduling a mammogram that ultimately saved a patient's life from breast cancer. The Onsite Women's Health 'Hero Program' recognizes and rewards the life-saving work performed by our partners' mammography schedulers. When breast cancer is detected, the individual who scheduled the patient’s mammogram is recognized – alongside the technologist – as an Onsite Hero and receives a special certificate and tumbler for his/her first cancer detection in the calendar year. Thanks to Michele’s proactive approach and dedication to breast health, this patient received her mammogram exactly when she needed it most. Please join us in celebrating Michele – and our 91 ‘Onsite Heroes’ to date – whose everyday efforts are saving lives one appointment at a time! #OnsiteHero #BreastCancer #EarlyDetection #BreastHealth 📸: Onsite Area Manager Denise Alfieri, Michele Sesny and Shari Lowell, Axia Women's Health practice manager.

At Onsite Women’s Health, we are committed to supporting our teammates to develop tomorrow’s leaders. Meet Alicia Scartoli, a technical logistics manager who has served our more than 125 provider locations for almost a decade. Based in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Alicia’s role involves facilitating communication efforts between Onsite’s partnered locations and the company’s Information Technology and Logistics department. She oversees implementations, EMR transitions and the implementation of Onsite’s electronic image-sharing platform, Medicom. Alicia's career with Onsite began in 2015 as a coordinator, and then she transitioned to the Enterprise Logistics team as a workflow and education specialist in 2017. In 2020, she became the first technical logistics manager for Onsite Women’s Health and credits the company – particularly her boss Doug Thayer – who recognized Alicia’s potential and provided her with growth opportunities. “I would not be where I am today without Doug’s foresight,” says Alicia. “Onsite truly cares about the patient experience and they want to see their employees grow.” Alicia draws inspiration from many people, but most importantly from her daughters, who motivate her to lead by example and improve the overall healthcare experience for women everywhere. Alicia shares that “there are so many women that get diagnosed with breast cancer every single day…knowing that Onsite is on a mission to detect and treat breast cancer early and save lives, makes waking up and going to work easy.” Thank you to Alicia – and our teammates across the nation – for your contributions to improving women’s healthcare.
