If I could get all OpenPhone customers in a room right now, I’d get on a microphone and tell them how much money they’re leaving on the table by not using missed call auto replies. I think it’s a no-brainer. Here's why this matters so much: Any missed call is potentially a missed opportunity for your business. It doesn't matter if it comes during business hours or after—if you miss it, you risk losing that customer (or potential customer). People today have virtually no attention span. If they call your business and don't get an answer, they're likely moving on to find someone else. They forget about you and never return. But when you enable auto replies you can immediately engage with them through a text message, see if you can help, and keep that connection alive. This feature is included in all of our plans. It's free, just sitting there waiting for you to use it. It's literally the most simple thing that can make a huge difference. I often see customers tweeting about how cool this feature is. So here I am, trying my best to tell everyone about it! And I can tell you this with confidence because I've seen how it helps our customers convert more missed calls into actual business. Those few seconds when someone decides to reach out are precious—don't lose them because you couldn't pick up the phone. (And yes, this is me virtually getting on that microphone to all our customers 😉)

Not sure there's a better way to start the week than with a shoutout like this. Huge kudos to our amazing Porting team – very well deserved! 💜 (Thanks to Timm Brocks for the shoutout 🎉)

"Yeah, no, we can't be doing this anymore." That's what Asit Shah, the founder of Zazzy Box, thought as he was woken up by yet another 3 AM text message from a customer. The problem wasn't that the excited customer was messaging him. It was that both he and his phone had become a bottleneck for his growing business. Something had to give. Asit recently chatted with us and shared how OpenPhone helped modernize Zazzy Box’s communication, bringing his entire team into customer conversations without losing (and even expanding) the personal touch that his customers valued. Our offsite lasted (almost) three full days. Though, to be fair, we spent part of those days playing pickleball and singing karaoke 🎤 Here are the biggest takeaways from bringing everyone together in San Diego: ✨ Remote work is a no-brainer for us. We have the most incredible team from all over the world who work where they want, the way they want. But there is still nothing quite like seeing the team together in one place. So gathering with everyone at least once a year is always a non-negotiable. This was our 5th offsite, and they only get better each time. ✨ Employees weren’t the only people we brought to our offsite. Eleven of our local customers also met up with us on one of the days. We can’t recommend highly enough meeting up with customers whenever you can. There’s no better way to hear about their needs and problems, and then work on solutions together. ✨ Teams mingling and brainstorming together can only be a positive. We came up with some great, actionable ideas and solutions to work on in the coming months. A big thank you to Elizabeth Payne & Catherine Aracil from THE OFFSITE for their hard work organizing things so we could all focus on spending time together. Last but definitely not least, a huge thank you to all of our incredible customers who joined us: Alex Holt, Nicholas B. Frickelton, Andrew Motiwalla, Art Machekin, Vanessa Duran, Roohil Hamid, Conner Schryver, CDB, Brian W., Nicholas Payne, Sean Ivester, and Brent Colquitt. We’re so grateful for your time and insights! Countdown is on to offsite number 6 ☀️
