  • Rest Easy LTG. Gregg, the Army’s first back 3 star general who “was also a key player in building the Army and Air Force Exchange System, or AAFES, and was the first Black general in the quartermaster corps and the first Black deputy chief of staff for Army logistics. For those accomplishments and others, the Army honored Gregg and Lt. Col. Charity Adams in April 2023, when the service renamed Fort Lee in Virginia to Fort Gregg-Adams.”

  • Scott Coker was the president and founder of StrikeForce MMA when he was introduced to us at OCC. Come to find out he was a “military brat” as his father was in the Army-another reason to like him. We told him about Operation Care and Comfort and he immediately wanted to help and be involved. Knowing him for 15+ years and several MMA organizations later, we are happy to see his efforts in the martial arts community be recognized! Congrats Scott, through your hard work and dedication this so well deserved. Scott Coker Black Belt Hall of Famer

  • My heart is broken. OCC’s fantastic supporter and dear friend Greg Kihn has passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease. Greg, founder of The Greg Kihn Band, was an early supporter of OCC. While on his morning show at 98.5 KFOX with Chris Jackson, he often helped us with donation drives, invited his listeners to support our cause and even headlined our TroopFest concerts. We could always count on Greg for his support. Rock On, Greg. You will never be forgotten.

  • This is the coolest Book Club story! We received awesome care packages from the club. I asked what motivated them and received this response: “Yes, our book club read “The Women” by Kristin Hannah so that lead to our inspiration to put boxes together for our troops! It was a very moving and eye opening book about the Vietnam War. We all gave it 5/5 stars and highly recommend it! I attached some photos here to the email.” THANK YOU to Lauren S and her club for this fantastic project! Who’s next?
