Our Founder and CEO Todd Schwartz recently shared his advice on the primary considerations consumers should take into account when determining whether they would benefit from using a personal loan for debt consolidation. “For individuals considering a debt consolidation loan, consumers should consider what they are using the loan for and compare the costs of different loan options to find the one that fits their needs... With a little bit of research and responsible habits, a debt consolidation loan can be a viable option for consumers looking to save money, manage their debt load and advance personal financial goals.” Thank you MoneyGeek.com for sharing more information about OppFi's debt consolidation loan options! #OppLoans #CustomerSuccess #PersonalLoans #Review #DebtConsolidation

Our Founder and CEO Todd Schwartz wrote a letter to the editor of American Banker's opinion section, BankThink, about the real-life challenges facing consumers with low credit scores and how small-dollar loan options – like OppFi's – benefit the everyday consumer. "For the millions of Americans who are cash-strapped and shut out of the traditional banking and credit market, what should they do if they run into car trouble, medical bills or other unexpected expenses? The everyday consumer needs and deserves to have options when they need them most. If you take away these options, these struggling consumers will be adversely impacted the most." How OppFi’s ‘Thrive Where You Work Week’ Brings Company Culture to Life

Each August, OppFi hosts “Thrive Where You Work Week,” an annual week dedicated to celebrating our culture and our employees’ ability to thrive where they work and work where they thrive. During our 2023 Thrive Where You Work Week, we held OppFi’s first Culture Hackathon, led by Employee Experience Lead, Mackenzie Rohn, and facilitated by employees across the organization Dennis Dent, MPA, Rania Zakaria, Angela Anderson, Temeka C., John Bradley, Mackenzie Saunders, and Lukass Franklin. A hackathon is an effective tool for facilitating change in culture and employee experience. By engaging employees in the process of change and involving them in the design of new initiatives and programs, OppFi was able to build buy-in and create a shared vision for the future. We focused on four key areas that have been identified as strong “culture drivers” at OppFi — Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Wellness, Collaboration, and Connection. Participants engaged in a collaborative design thinking exercise called “Empathy Mapping,” where they focused on understanding and empathizing with our workforce. Through this activity, they uncovered deeper insights to set them up for brainstorming new ideas and solutions. The participants appreciated the safe space to contribute ideas, collaborate, and connect with others who are dedicated to OppFi’s culture. One participant noted, “We have some similar frustrations and joys in the company. We're not perfect, but we're working on getting better, and folks are interested in improving things.” Thank you Urban Wild Studio - Graphic Recording, Illustration, Animation for helping us visualize insights and tell our employee story. We are proud of our work to keep our people at the center and improve empathetic decision-making to enhance the employee experience and continue to build OppFi’s culture. Mackenzie Rohn, Employee Experience Lead on the People Team and human-centered design practitioner, says the hackathon was important to her team’s work because “creating a culture of compassion starts with empathy. We needed a way to promote deep connection and understanding for our people because not everyone experiences the workplace in the same way. I look forward to continuing this work and using our empathy maps to create meaningful change here at OppFi.”
