🚨🌧️ Storm Alert! From August 3-9, the remnants of #TropicalStormDebby hit New Jersey hard, bringing severe flash floods, strong winds, and a near-statewide tornado watch. The city of Hoboken faced intense stormwater management challenges due to its dense population and limited space. Since 2018, the North Hudson Sewerage Authority (NHSA) has used OptiRTC’s CMAC to capture 86% of storm events with no outflow and reduce detention tank sizes by 30%, achieving space and cost savings. Opti is redefining smart stormwater management, making urban environments safer and more efficient. Aliaxis Next #Opti #OptiCMAC #StormwaterManagement #StormStory #HobokenNJ

🌧️ #TropicalStormDebby, which started as a category 1 hurricane, is gaining momentum as it travels up the East Coast. OptiRTC’s CMAC in Aiken, SC created an additional 3 acre-feet of storage in advance of the storm and optimized water levels between two underground detention vaults. This proactive management allowed Opti to increase storage capacity and effectively mitigate flooding in the downstream Hitchcock Woods, enhancing community resilience. ⭐ OptiRTC’s Continuous Monitoring and Adaptive Control (CMAC) solution in NYC's rooftop greenhouse project at the #ArborHouse affordable housing complex in the Bronx utilizes rainwater harvesting to provide produce to residents and the community. It effectively reduces CSOs by controlling cistern water levels based on weather forecasts, resulting in 4.6 times more efficiency than traditional methods. This sustainable practice not only minimizes environmental impact but also maximizes water reuse for urban agriculture.
