    Meet the team Wednesday: Tien Truong 🔆This week on Meet the Team Wednesday, we're thrilled to spotlight Tien, a pivotal member of our Structural Engineering team at Orange Engineering.🔆 💠Who He Is: Tien is a recent graduate who joined Orange Engineering in January of this year, bringing over a year of experience in construction project engineering. During his time at San Jose State University, where he earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering, he placed a strong emphasis on structural engineering courses. 💠What He Does As a Structural Designer, Tien plays a pivotal role in the design, structural calculations, and analysis for a range of residential and commercial projects. His contributions have been key in projects such as the Cannabis Cultivation Plant Improvement, custom residential homes, and various other residential developments, aligning with the company's mission to provide economical and impactful engineering solutions. 💠A bit more about Tien: Hometown: Viet Nam Favorite part of the job: " I dedicate my best effort and thought to every project I work on. The sense of accomplishment and pride when a project is completed is the ultimate reward that drives my passion and work ethic in structural engineering.” Fun fact: After a long day working in front of the computer, you'll still find me staring at my screen at home—but this time, it's for gaming! 💠Tien's tip for success: “Always visualize the construction site as if it's already built. If there's anything that would make you uncomfortable when standing there, address it now." Today, we are pleased to introduce Pengli (Warden) Zhao, who has recently joined us as an experienced superintendent.🔆 💠Who He Is: Warden joined us in mid-July and has quickly adapted to our fast-paced and dynamic work environment. With nearly a decade of experience in residential construction, he brings a wealth of expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each one meets the highest quality standards. 💠What He Does Warden's daily responsibilities include: • Coordinating with owners and trades on-site • Ensuring safety and progress are maintained, • Planning and scheduling construction activities, • Coordinating inspections and compliances with local authorities, • Managing material inventory, • Ensuring construction aligns with documentation. He is also actively involved in material take-offs, bidding, change orders, and overall construction management. 💠A bit more about Warden: Hometown: Yantai, Shandong, China Favorite part of the job: "Collaborating with a diverse team of professionals is what I love most. Each project brings together different expertise and perspective, leading to innovative and effective solutions.” Fun fact: “I enjoy hiking on trails and connecting with mother nature, which makes me appreciate and remind myself of the importance of sustainability and protecting the environment. I’m also a great food enthusiast who loves exploring and trying different cuisines. This passion for food also makes me a great cook. ” 😚 💠Warden’s tip for success: “Attention to detail is key. Today, we're thrilled to introduce one of our newest stars at Orange Engineering, Manli Zeng. 🔆 💠 Who She Is: Joined us just three months ago, Manli has quickly become an indispensable part of our team. As a Construction Project Manager, she is currently steering five major projects, totaling over 50,000 sqft, from residential rebuild to commercial and education facility tenant improvement. 💠 What She Does: Manli’s day-to-day responsibilities are as dynamic as they are crucial. From meticulously checking job site progress and coordinating material orders to managing budgets and navigating the intricacies of city permits, she keeps our projects on track and ensures all stakeholders are synchronized. She finds reading blueprints challenging yet acknowledges that mastering this skill is integral to her success in overseeing a project from inception to completion. 💠 A Bit More About Manli: Hometown: Taishan, Guangdong, China Favorite part of the job: "The most rewarding part of my job is being involved in every step of the construction process. It allows me to see a mere concept evolve into a tangible structure that will stand the test of time." Fun fact: Despite her fear of heights, Manli is an enthusiastic hiker and never misses a weekly meal at her favorite local restaurant.
