Empowering female talent is a priority at Orbia and increasing women in management is one of the six key ESG indicators we measure our progress on each year. One of the ways we do so is through our employee-run resource group, OWN (Orbia Women’s Network), and its mentorship program. Now in its second cohort, we have seen outstanding feedback from employees who rated their satisfaction with the relationships built through the program as 4.7 out of 5 stars. We’re proud to see the positive impact OWN's mentorship program is having across our teams. #WeAreOrbia #WherePurposeComesToLife #Mentorship #FemaleEmpowerment

As the funding from the U.S. government is rolled out through the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program, it will expand connectivity for many businesses and consumers. However, we will need skilled workers in the telecom industry to make the promises of this program a reality. Madison Carroll, the Global Program Manager for Orbia’s Dura-Line Academy recently joined the Broadband Pulse, a podcast from Lightwave Online hosted by Sean Buckley to talk about how Dura-Line Academy is helping to onboard new entrants and upskill experienced installers in the telecom industry. Refrigerants are essential chemicals used to keep the air conditioning in your car running, stop perishable food from spoiling at your local grocery store and create the ice in your drink at a restaurant. However, the most common refrigerants have a global warming potential (GWP) from 1,000-2,000 times that of carbon dioxide. Orbia’s Fluor & Energy Materials business Koura is working to decarbonize the refrigerant industry by creating lower GWP refrigerants. The newly introduced Klea Edge portfolio offers refrigerants with a GWP less than 150. Learn more about how we are leading the industry in creating innovative, low-GWP refrigerants: https://lnkd.in/e_GkPcfy #WeAreOrbia #Refrigerant #Decarbonization #LowGWP

In just one year, Orbia and Microsoft’s new water resilience project in Brazil is expected to save 192 Olympic-sized swimming pools of water. In ten years, it is expected to save enough water to fill over one thousand Olympic swimming pools. Orbia and Microsoft have teamed up to support Sanasa Campinas, a public water utility in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, with new technology that will detect network incidents from leaks to data issues. This is critical as the Campinas region is located in the PCJ watershed, which has undergone seven droughts in the last decade yet is relied on by 70% of the region for water. The project will leverage Orbia Wavin’s cloud-based Water Network Management platform and Central Control Room.
