"We are proud to announce that Ortho-tag, a pioneer of in-body communication and biosensing on the nanoscale, has been chosen to compete among 80 companies. Selected from a pool of more than 1,400 applicants Ortho-tag will present during the global MedTech Innovator Road Tour in April, 2024. MedTech Innovator is the largest accelerator of medical technology companies in the world, supporting companies that are transforming the healthcare system. The Ortho-tag team will present its in-body, battery-free, communication and advanced alert diagnostic tool for Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI). PJI is a serious post-operative complication that is a potential life-threatening risk for the patient and a challenge for early detection. Ortho-tag’s pH nanosensor, designed to attach to, or integrate with, an orthopaedic implant, measures and stores the pH level surrounding a joint replacement, serving as an early indicator of potential infection.
