The Ortho-tag team will present its in-body, battery-free, communication and advanced alert diagnostic tool for Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI). PJI is a serious post-operative complication that is a potential life-threatening risk for the patient and a challenge for early detection. Ortho-tag’s pH nanosensor, designed to attach to, or integrate with, an orthopaedic implant, measures and stores the pH level surrounding a joint replacement, serving as an early indicator of potential infection.
