Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset proudly sponsored the 2024 The Great Cow Harbor 10K Run and 2K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, September 21. Members of our Physical and Occupational Therapy team attended the event, supporting the community and this wonderful cause. The proceeds from this event benefit the Special Olympics New York, Northwell Health Foundation, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the local food pantry and other local causes. Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset is proud to support Sid Jacobson JCC’s Stronger than Cancer 5K Run, Walk, and Family Fun Day on Sunday, September 29, at 9:30 am. This meaningful event benefits SJJCC’s Nancy Marx Cancer Wellness Center and offers something for everyone. Whether you’re running, walking, or enjoying the kiddie course with your family, it’s all in support of a great cause. Together, we can help raise funds to keep all Nancy Marx Cancer Wellness programs free for participants! Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset proudly sponsored the 2024 Friends of T.J. Foundation Golf Outing at the Huntington Country Club last week. OAM physicians Dr. Andrew Greenberg, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity specialist and orthopedic surgeon, and Dr. Derek Ju, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, along with Brent Higgins, Chief Network Officer at Spire Orthopedic Partners, and Fred DeNisco, Physician and Community Liaison Manager at OAM, participated in the event. The Friends of T.J. Foundation was founded in 2009 after T.J. was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare type of cancer, at the age of 31. T. J.’s first goal was to do everything he could to get well and then transfer his energy to work on the Foundation. In 2013, at the age of 34, T.J. lost his fight along with his hopes and dreams of being with his family and pursuing a career as an anesthesiologist. Now, his family and friends are determined to continue the work of the Foundation. The hopes and dreams for him to get well have been transferred to a “Hope for Tomorrow.” The Friends of T.J. Foundation focuses on increasing sarcoma research, improving treatment, and aids in the goal of finding a cure.

We recognize the significant achievements and invaluable cultural and historical contributions of those whose ancestors come from Central and South America, Mexico, Spain, and the Caribbean.
