Day 2 of #OSMOSISCon2024 was legendary! ⭐️ We started with a bang by announcing the 5th Annual OSINT Award winners 🏆: - Open-Source Educator: William Mechler, OSC - Open-Source Rising Star: Ritu Gill (OSINT Techniques) - Open-Source Legacy Intelligence Officer: Kelly Rose - Open-Source Intelligence Champion: Jessica Smith - Open-Source Tech Innovation: Epieos - Open-Source Non-Profit: Tracelabs - Open-Source Diversity Trailblazer: Margarita G. Congratulation and thank you for pushing OSINT to new heights! 🚀 The main stage was on fire with Chris Poulter kicking things off with a compelling session on the importance of learning prompt engineering where he shared practical tips on how to get started. Next, Craig Silverman gave us valuable insights into AdINT, followed by Stephen Adams who showcased a range of techniques for verification workflows. We closed with Kirby Plessas and Amber Schroader who expertly combined OSINT and forensics to explore app data footprints in depth. It was a day full of actionable takeaways! Breakout rooms didn’t disappoint either! Rayzone Group brought the heat on multi-source intel & VISINT, while Penlink demonstrated how to turn raw data into pure intelligence gold. We had a ton of OSINT pros get certified through our OSC exams. Congratulations to everyone and thank you for helping us standardize the OSINT profession! We also crowned Glenn Millett as our Day 2 Capture the Flag champ. He walked away with a 85 inch TV and a huge smile on his wife’s face! 😁 Lastly,... drumroll please...we announced Ritu Gill (OSINT Techniques) as the new OSMOSIS Association President! 🙌 We couldn’t have asked for a better person to lead us to greatness. Day 1 of #OSMOSISCon2024 was filled with dynamic insights, valuable networking, and engaging discussions! On the main stage, we had Emalee J. sharing techniques to integrate location data for enhancing investigations, Jessica Smith demonstrating how language patterns can reveal identities and predict threats, David Wells discussing the balance between AI's capabilities and human critical thinking, and Chris Brenner exploring the challenges and solutions for OSINT analysts in identifying unknown actors. In breakout sessions we had Fivecast presenting strategies for online identity resolution, OSINT Academy discussing the art of targeted advertising, and RAKIA GROUP demonstrating how to harness the full spectrum of OSINT capabilities for faster results. The exhibitor hall was buzzing all day with activity as participants explored the booths and connected with industry experts. Several attendees also tackled the OSC exam, putting their OSINT skills to the test. Our panel discussion with Anthony D., Ritu Gill (OSINT Techniques), Alanna Cherry, and Brett Webber provided insights into the legal, ethical, and technical challenges of OSINT. Lastly, our Bits and Bytes networking event offered attendees a chance to unwind and exchange ideas after a full day of conferencing. Skull Games Task Force Expedition XIII Results Are In!   This past weekend, OSMOSIS Association had the privilege of collaborating with Skull Games on Expedition XIII - and what a powerful weekend it was! 65 dedicated OSINT hunters worked together to make a real impact, identifying 35 victims and 17 persons of interest across several states. These efforts are a testament to the incredible work being done in the OSINT community and the power of collaboration to make a difference.    We're so proud to have been a part of this incredible event and to work alongside such passionate professionals who bleed #OSINTforGood. It's efforts like these that underscore why open-source intelligence is so critical to fighting crime and protecting vulnerable individuals.    Huge shoutout to everyone involved in this successful operation, and thank you to Skull Games for your commitment to the cause!
