A focal point of the Climate Action Info Day entitled Taking Action: Saving the Future (March 5, 2025) was the presentation by Professor GEORGIOS SYLAIOS, head of the Democritus University of Thrace - (D.U.Th.) team in the EU-funded OTTERS project. Organized by the 5th General Lyceum of Kavala, the Info Day was attended by over 100 senior high school students and 20 professors, equally divided between in-person and online attendees from the cities of Kavala and Thessaloniki in Northern Greece. Calling young minds to give voice to the ocean!🌊📝 For the 54th International Letter-Writing Competition (#ILWC), the Universal Postal Union, International Maritime Organization, and UNESCO invite children aged 9-15 to write letters that inspire action to protect and conserve our ocean. Under the theme "Imagine you are the ocean. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you," participants will explore the ocean's beauty, the challenges it faces, and our shared responsibility to preserve it.
