Sexting is a fact of life for kids today, whether their parents know it or not.   A recent study on sexting among youth found that nearly 20% had sent a sext, and 34.8% had received one. Another survey found that, by age 13, 24% of kids had been asked to send nude photos or requested nude images themselves.   So how do caregivers approach sexting without kids shutting down? In the past year, the Our Kids family has lost two of our greatest champions. Randy Rayburn and Jerry Baxter were pioneers who helped create the restaurant landscape in Nashville. For decades, their vision and dedication to the restaurant industry enhanced Nashville and the business community. Randy and Jerry created the Our Kids Soup Sunday event to raise vital funds for Our Kids and to mobilize the restaurant industry to care about children and families struggling with the issue of child sexual abuse. For 32 years, Randy and Jerry carried the banner the highest, constantly encouraging other restaurants to step forward to help. In fact, Midtown Cafe is the only restaurant to participate in every Soup Sunday. Jerry was always assisting new restaurants, helping them understand the logistics of the Soup Sunday event. This event is still going strong after all these years. Randy and Jerry were exceptional entrepreneurs with hearts of gold. They were best friends who loved people and appreciated each other’s talents. Both of these wonderful men have made Nashville a better place for everyone, and they will truly be missed. We appreciate all they did for Our Kids.

Over the past three decades, this incredible event has brought together passionate golfers and generous supporters, all united by a common goal: to make a difference in the lives of children who have experienced sexual abuse. Through your unwavering support, the Our Kids Klassic has become a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts, helping us provide critical medical evaluations and crisis counseling to thousands of children in need. Every swing, every putt, and every donation has played a vital role in sustaining our mission and expanding our services to reach even more children across Middle Tennessee. As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the profound impact the tournament has had: -31,000+ evaluations provided since Our Kids' inception -Free services available to 47 counties in Middle Tennessee -Expert staff on-call 24/7 -One of the largest clinics nationwide dedicated solely to child sexual abuse medical evaluations and crisis counseling None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity and dedication of our participants, sponsors, and volunteers.
