When Overture first started releasing data, it was sheer chaos. Now its becoming a structured part of our operating cadence. That doesn't mean it's easy. A lot of hard work goes on to make it happen, from the work building data by the different teams, to the validation, documentation, testing, staging and finally release. I am constantly amazed at how this team, all from different companies, pulls together to make this happen. This release has a lot of incremental improvements to the data: new addresses from various public sources, new roads from TomTom, new building heights from combining attributes from different open data sources, and the constantly updated data contributed by the amazing OpenStreetMap community. There's no silver bullet in building map data. Our model is a combination of this steady improvement mixed with a lot of thinking about how we can do this differently and better. I remain immensely grateful that I get to be a part of this amazing team.

I think that the Cloud-Native Geospatial Forum (CNG) Editorial Board is one of the coolest groups of people in the geospatial sector. Congratulations to CNG on getting my colleagues Amy Rose and Dana Bauer for this gig along with a bunch of others who I really respect. If surrounding yourself with great people is a predictor of success, Jed Sundwall nailed it. More here: https://lnkd.in/drHR6NQt
