REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: The PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship seeks to hire a juried photographer from The Wilds Cooperative of PA program to document our flagship event. On July 24, 2025, approximately 200 business and community leaders from across the Pennsylvania Wilds, along with state partners and officials from Harrisburg will gather for the PA Wilds Awards Dinner to get an update on the state and local effort to grow the region’s economy and recognize Champions of the PA Wilds Award recipients. Sign up for Leave No Trace Level One Instructor Training with Keystone Trails Association! The majority of the course will take place outside on trails in and around the Allegheny National Forest in the western side of the PA Wilds. Sign up before June 1 to save. Become a steward of the Pennsylvania Wilds! As part of the PA Wilds Leave No Trace Initiative, your business or organization is invited to help travelers understand how to protect the PA Wilds by practicing Leave No Trace, so that our region remains just as beautiful for future generations. PA Wilds Leave No Trace Partners will be able to participate in professional development sessions around effective use of this stewardship messaging and utilize the custom Leave No Trace Seven Principles developed for our region as well as various materials designed to be shared with visitors. Art students from North Clarion Area High School (NCHS) are getting a chance to show their artwork to the public, and visitors to the PA Wilds Conservation Shop in Marienville can meet these young artists and support them. The grand opening of the Where the PA Wilds Things Are art display will be held on Saturday, April 12 from noon to 4 p.m. During this grand opening event, visitors will be able to meet the artists, show their support for them and purchase locally made artisan products. After the grand opening, the exhibit will be on display for two weeks, until April 25. The art show features statement pieces made by NCHS students in grades 10 through 12 that highlight wildlife and culture within the 13-county rural Pennsylvania Wilds region.
