Throwing it back to another Padel Coaches Registry certification workshop earlier this year at Padel+Pickle Club in St. Louis. Congratulations Clifford Marsland PCR, PTR, PPR, PPTR Liz Cruz Tyler Owens Peter Hantack James Tobin Michael Chapin, MS, MEd Lisa Frumhoff Amir Saffari for the accomplishment. It was a privilege mentoring you and learning from you all, what an inspiring group of people, the growing Padel community in North America is in good hands! And of course thanks to Ryan Leslie and Arielle Schneider for your hospitality. And we can't forget about the beautiful Padel Galis courts and installation! Phenomenal job as always Jaime de Miguel Montañés! As always thanks to Martín Echegaray Vales Inaki Balzola and Brian Parkkonen for trusting me with such important task, it’s an honor to represent the global leader in Padel education and lead the education efforts in North America. Any pickleball fans out there? #RuthUnleashed is shining a spotlight on a new local business. Yesterday, I visited Padel+Pickle Club on No. Price Road in Olivette. It is a new padel and pickleball club accepting members. The guest services host is welcoming and happy to give you a tour and let you hit a few balls around. Just learned about the game padel -- apparently very popular in Europe. It is sort of a combination of squash and pickleball where you can let the ball bounce off the wall before you hit it back. While California, Florida, and New York are obviously getting a lot of attention in the #padel world thanks to the likes of Taktika Padel, Padel Haus, and Ultra Padel Club Miami, the padel revolution is also (somewhat quietly) spreading to the Midwest, thanks to the five clubs featured in our brand-new article below 👇 (two of which I've already had the pleasure of visiting and three of which I hope to soon): 🎾 Padel+Pickle Club just outside #StLouis -- which was founded by three U.K.-born U.S. squash legends and is run by Ryan Leslie and his awesome staff. 🎾 The Heights Racquet & Social Club in the #TwinCities area -- which was recently featured on Good Morning America and I hope to do a feature article on soon given that that they also feature singles and doubles #squash courts in addition to padel. 🎾 ZMash Padel just outside #Detroit -- which was founded by several former Detroit Red Wings and boasts eight indoor courts in super-chic surroundings powered by our friends at MATCHi. 🎾 Padel Clube outside #Chicago -- which was founded by Rudi Kalil (an exceptional player in his own right), offers both indoor and outdoor courts, and recently hosted a United States Padel Association (USPA) Major. 🎾 A (yet-to-be-named) club featuring five indoor courts in the #WestLoop neighborhood of #Chicago from a group that includes members of Lakeshore Sport & Fitness and Mexico-City born, Chicago-based venture capitalist Fabian Gosselin P. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of finally playing at Padel+Pickle Club in #StLouis -- the first and currently only club of its kind in a 500+ mile radius and one of the very few clubs along with Padel Clube (outside Chicago), The Heights Racquet & Social Club (in Minneapolis), and ZMash Padel (outside Detroit) that are leading the U.S. #padel charge in the Midwest (though you'll soon to be able to add Padel Haus Nashville and Padel Indiana to this growing list). Founded by three U.S. #squash legends (who all originally hail from the U.K.) and run by another squash legend in his own right, Ryan Leslie, Padel+Pickle Club is a perfect example of the "#RacketSports 2.0 Revolution" in action.
