This weekend the number of publicly accessible #padel courts in #Arizona more than 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒅 thanks to the opening of THE PAD's third location in #Tucson. And that number will nearly double yet again next month when Padel Alley opens its eight #padelcourts and four #pickleball courts for play just about 15 minutes east. Combine that with the fact that Conquer Padel has plans to open five #padelclubs around the greater #Phoenix area in the next few years, and you'll start to get some idea of why Arizona's padel bloom could soon turn into an all-out padel boom (especially given Arizona's climate and demographics). Everything you need to know about these clubs and the Arizona padel scene can be found in our just-released update below ⬇️ -- so please be sure to have a look when you have a moment... And then let us know what other U.S. states, cities, and regions you think will prove to be fertile ground for padel to bloom in the comments. 📣 (P.S. -- if you'd like to get U.S. padel news and commentary like this delivered directly to your inbox, you can always sign up for our free "State of the Game" newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/em9GE9KU) RedPADEL Charles Messow Juan Carlos Quiroz Zolezzi Oscar Quiroz Pedro Martinez Valenzuela Enrique Gracia Tom Konkowski, MSFS, RICP Gilberto Cañez Araque PlaySight #usapadel #padelusa

Given that he's a graduate of both Rice University and Georgetown University, I probably should have known that Gerardo Penchyna C. is someone who truly enjoys 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 any topic he's interested in -- and lately that topic is #padel. But I've got to say, over the handful of in-depth conversations we've had about the sport and its potential here in the U.S., I've been truly blown away by his willingness to ask difficult yet insightful questions -- rather than just seeking out easy, overly optimistic answers. I'm also very impressed by (and jealous of) the fact he's recently visited padel clubs and communities in Croatia, Mexico, Serbia, and the U.K. and will soon be visiting more in Denmark, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. So, when he asked if I'd consider publishing something he had written about what he's learned on his global padel journey so far, I was more than happy to accept. You can check out this just-published guest piece directly below 🔽 , and then please share your thoughts, your impressions, and your own difficult but insightful questions about the future of U.S. padel in the comments. Thank you for your contribution, Gerardo Penchyna C. -- and look forward to future conversations! In just over 24 hours one of the most highly anticipated #padel events of the year will kick off when the first leg of the three-part Reserve Cup Series gets underway in #Miami. As discussed in our just-released update below ⬇️, not only will this star-studded competition feature 16 of the top padel players in the world (including new Miami resident and World No. 1, Arturo Coello)... But also celebrity guest captains in the form of baseball legend 𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐤 𝐉𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 and rising stand-up comedy heavyweight (and padel addict) 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐥𝐳. What's more, the Reserve Cup Series will offer the highest prize purse of any padel tournament in history (thanks in large part to big-name sponsors like UBS... Uber... Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd... and Alo Yoga among others). So, when you have a moment please be sure to check out our brand-new article laying out everything you need to know about this standard-setting U.S. padel event. 🇺🇸 🎾 🚀 (And if you'd like to get U.S. padel news and commentary like this delivered directly to your inbox, you can always sign up for our free "State of the Game" newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/em9GE9KU) Jordan Brail

Beginning in March, numerous "all-racket-sports" expos are going to start kicking off everywhere from Milan (with Racquet Trend) to #Miami (with RacquetX)... But, as guest columnist Mike Dale of The Padel Paper in the U.K. discusses in our just-published update, it's looking increasingly like #padel is set to steal the show from its racket sports cousins like #tennis, #pickleball, and #squash. There are no doubt many exciting #padel trends on the horizon here in the U.S. as we kick off 2025, including: 🎾 The (somewhat belated) emergence of #Arizona as a padel hotbed thanks to the likes of Padel Alley, Conquer Padel, and THE PAD Tucson, among others... 🎾 The increasing popularity of pro padel thanks to the continued efforts of the Pro Padel League, unique one-off events like the upcoming Reserve Cup, and the first-ever Premier Padel tournament on U.S. soil in Miami this March, and... 🎾 The rise of all-women's padel leagues and tournaments, thanks the efforts of Andi Neugarten-Maio, Bianca Vanrell, and others... But another really intriguing one -- which we explore in our just-released update below 🔽 -- is the new trend of U.S. padel clubs setting up shop inside of iconic former power plants in places like #RichmondVA (at Padel Plant) and #Philadelphia (at Ballers). Looking forward to sharing in-depth details on both of these cutting-edge U.S. padel projects soon, but in the meantime, please be sure to check out our brand-new update to learn more -- and then let us know what other trends YOU think will shape U.S. padel in the coming year! 🇺🇸 🎾 🚀 (P.S. -- if you'd like to get U.S. padel news and commentary like this delivered directly to your inbox, you can always sign up for our free "State of the Game" newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/em9GE9KU) Alex Nordheimer David Gutstadt Amanda Potter Good City Studio Vero Capital Fitler Club

It seems like each and every week there is some huge, new #padel news coming out of #Miami, be it... 🎾 Ultra Padel Club Miami expanding to become among the largest padel clubs on the planet -- and then further announcing they are opening five more new clubs around the area in the near future... 🎾 Premier Padel hosting their first-ever tournament on U.S. soil there this March alongside RacquetX and the Miami Open and Hard Rock Stadium, or... 🎾 World No. 1 Arturo Coello deciding to re-locate there for the 2025 season. And this week is clearly no different... In fact, thanks to the visionary leadership of Andi Neugarten-Maio, this Thursday, Jan. 16th, will see the launch of the pioneering new 6𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 at the stunning new Reserve SoLe Mia in North Miami. While #padel is no doubt a sport very rooted in tradition, it's also one that has seen a lot of innovation over the years -- and will inevitably see exponentially more going forward. In fact, in just over a half-century the game has evolved from a rather obscure one played on dense, concrete walls with small wooden "palas" to a global phenomenon played on seamless, glass walls with space-age carbon fiber rackets. Which got me wondering... what will the padel of 𝘰𝘶𝘳 future look like? To (start) to get the answer, I recently spoke with Chen M. Shachar, Matt Gibson, Scott Schmelzer, Gaston Muszkat and the team at PlaySight. Why? Well, among other things, PlaySight's industry-leading video technologies and #AI offerings are now used across more than 30 different #sports (including #tennis, #squash, and #pickleball)... Not to mention by 20 different National Basketball Association (NBA) teams -- including the 2024 NBA champion Boston Celtics (and the 2024 WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) champion New York Liberty)... Legendary #prosports franchises like the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Rangers and countless NCAA programs -- including numerous D1 national champions... And leading padel clubs around the U.S. and world, including the likes of Padel Haus and Reserve. Point being, PlaySight is not just the kind of company that can help predict what the future of #padel will look like, but one that's 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 it. So, if you're a padel club owner, operator, tournament director, or just rabid player, I do hope you'll take a moment to read through our upcoming, multi-part series of articles with PlaySight about the future of padel. We published part one just a few minutes ago, which you can check out below ⬇️ -- and we'll be back very soon with future installments. In the meantime, please let us know what you envision the future of padel looking like in the comments below! Very excited to see long-awaited #padel clubs like Smash Padel in #Boulder, CO... Padel Haus in #Nashville.. and Alma Padel in #Chicago posting job listings and court installation videos on social media that indicate they are getting very close to finally opening their doors. So, I thought it would be interesting to do a little poll among our readers:

Wow! Among other things, the greater #Miami area is already home to: 🎾 One of the world's largest #padel clubs at the flagship location of Ultra Padel Club Miami / Ultra Club... 🎾 The world's first-ever "all-racket-sports" expo and extravaganza, RacquetX... 🎾 Dozens and dozens of padel clubs of all shapes and sizes -- including Wynwood Padel Club, Padel X, 10by20, and Reserve -- with more and more opening all the time... And now we get word that not only will Miami be home to the first-ever Premier Padel tournament on U.S. soil (at the Miami Beach Convention Center this March alongside RacquetX and Miami Open and Hard Rock Stadium)... But it will also soon to be home to the No. 1 men's padel player in the world, Arturo Coello, who is arguably one of the best -- and most recognizable -- padel talents of all-time. Can't wait to see what the Miami padel scene has in store next! (Actually, we'll have some exciting news on that front soon from Miami padel pioneer Andi Neugarten-Maio -- so please stay tuned. And in the meantime, please be sure check out our just-released update below 🔽 ).
