At Pangea, we’re on a mission to restore these vital habitats—together with your help! 💚 Why Mangroves Matter: Unique Survivors: Adapted to live in harsh, salty coastal areas. Carbon Champions: Sequester up to 10x more carbon per hectare than terrestrial forests. Coastal Protectors: Stabilize shorelines, reduce erosion, and act as natural buffers during disasters. The Challenge: We’ve lost 20-35% of mangrove forests globally in the last 20 years, with more than 50% of the remaining at risk. Major threats include coastal development, pollution, and aquaculture.
