Inspired by Ernest Hemingway's spirit of adventure, Papa's Pilar™ is an artisan-crafted spirit sourced from hand-selected rums spanning the Caribbean, Central America and the U.S. then solera blended to perfection on American soil. Rum was once a noble spirit. It was served aboard warships, rationed to visionary explorers, and used to sustain the Founding Fathers as they plotted revolution. It was a drink consumed by men who understood that you only get one shot at life. Ernest Hemingway, or "Papa" as he was known, was this type of man – an adventurer who lived life to the fullest. He was an author, a free thinker, a sportsman, and a bon vivant. But he was never a spectator. Pilar was the boat that allowed this American literary giant to reach beyond the shoreline and feast on life. Inspired by his appetite for adventure, we've proudly created a super-premium rum — Papa’s Pilar. Each bottle features a distinctive new color palette, complete with metal front and side badges, a rooster medallion, closure, compass-style bottle cap and metal chain. The front of the bottle features a custom metal boat hull badge with our signature anchor while the side badge boasts a unique product tagline and tasting notes per expression. Always great to stop by the distillery and learn few tricks. Especially if that distillery makes Papa's Pilar Rum, Hemingway Rum Co. I was buying their Spanish Cherry cask finished rum for over 2 years now and it never ceased to amaze me with its super rich flavor profile. Not a lot of sipping rums can taste THAT exciting, trust me. Thanks for giving me a personal tour guys!
