Paris BPU employees spent our President’s Day focused on staff development. We began the day honoring our country and its past leaders with the Pledge of Allegiance. Privott Sledge Stroman, SPHR, SHRM-SCP from CDE Lightband shared a presentation aimed at how we as 80 individuals unite each day in a common purpose to carry out our purpose in the community. She provided great perspective on the actions and behaviors that will lead to successful service to our customers. We also heard from Zach Spicer with Line Brother’s Keeper. Zach shared lessons learned from his life-changing accident inside an electrical distribution substation. We were moved and inspired by his incredible story. It was a day well spent on molding our workforce into better community servants. We were also happy to make a donation to Zach’s non-profit organization aimed at assisting fallen or injured linemen and other utility workers.
