We're excited to kick off our newest social series, ”Lessons in Healthy Communications.” Healthy communications are our expert approach to making health topics more understandable for patients. Each month, we’ll share some of the ways we make our work accessible, clear, usable, and resonant ⚛️ What do you want to learn about?

Book bans are denying women access to basic health education. In over 20 states, thousands of women's health and anatomy books are banned from prisons. This forces incarcerated women to decipher what's happening in their own bodies and puts them at higher risk of dying from preventable, treatable conditions. To fight this dangerous censorship, we partnered with the Claremont Forum and a contact inside to develop a women's health textbook that sneaks past these book bans. Learn how we did it, and see how you can support contrabanned.us at: https://lnkd.in/gAW6UksF

Today marks the start of Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month! From September 15 to October 15, we celebrate the Hispanic and Latine communities, as well as their contributions past and present. This year’s theme is “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together.” From discovering groundbreaking cures, to pushing past barriers to medical education, to advocating for health equity, Hispanic and Latine Americans have been instrumental in advancing healthcare in our country. This year, we look forward to spotlighting contributions by Hispanic and Latine healthcare pioneers.

Happy #Juneteenth! On this day in 1865, enslaved Black Americans in Galveston Bay, Texas were finally informed of their freedom—two whole years after the Emancipation Proclamation was declared. Today, celebrations featuring food, festivals, parades, and art take place locally and nationally. We encourage our teams and communities to learn more about the holiday and participate in opportunities to honor the Black American community’s ongoing fight for freedom and progress. Fun Fact: When Juneteenth was officially recognized in 2021, it was the first new federal holiday enacted since #MartinLutherKing Jr. Day was adopted in 1983!

Today’s not over, but some highlights include Kenan Thompson and others talking about the comeback of humor in advertising, diving into synthetic research and what it means for strategists, plus unpacking big ideas including AT&Ts 5G football helmet. An absolute gem was Jay Shetty talking about PURPOSE, something very close to our hearts. #CannesLions2024

Day 1 Cannes Lions. Just getting started. Already enjoying hearing about Dove’s relentlessness on “beauty without artifice” to Deepak Chopra MD (official) discussing consciousness to imagination, and stopping by #Omnicom Cove for lots of rich AI conversation. Loved hearing Reddit CEO Steve Huffman talk about communities, the most authentic catalog of human experiences, and how consumers are desperate and seeking “real.” #Canneslion2024
