Last week, a group of volunteers from McKinsey & Company made a big difference at PAWS Atlanta! They emptied a full load of lumber from our van to help us build a new deck for our Isolation Unit. This was such a big help and saved our team a ton of time! Of course, they also spend some quality time with a few pups and the kitties in the Cat Cottage 🥰 If you'd like to volunteer with your group, we'd love to have you! Reach out to Sam at slong@pawsatlanta.org to schedule a time. We're already scheduling for 2025, so get on the books soon!

Earlier this week, a group for Volunteer Emory joined us for a morning of volunteering! They were a huge help, drying our dog kennels (a daily, time-consuming task!) and deep-cleaning our long-term guest cottage. We know our resident pup, Ebbie, is enjoying his fresh, clean space. If you'd like to help animals with your coworkers or fellow college students, reach out to Sam at slong@pawsatlanta.org. Spots are already filling up for 2025, so reach out soon! Rule Joy Trammell Rubio joined us this week for a few hours of volunteering! They set up new shelving in our Isolation Unit and organized our crate storage. It was super helpful in keeping the shelter in order and ensuring our team can always find the supplies they need. If you would like to volunteer with your group, reach out to Sam at slong@pawsatlanta.org. We're already scheduling for 2025!

Last week, a volunteer group from Hansford McDaniel - Workers' Compensation Attorneys spend time at the shelter with us! They helped us complete clean up from Hurricane Helene. Two large trees fell on our property (no damage to the facilities, thankfully!), and this group was able to clean up the big piles of logs after our Facilities Manager cut up the big ol' trees. This saved our team so much time and effort! If you'd like to volunteer with your group, reach out soon to Sam at slong@pawsatlanta.org. We're already scheduling for 2025!

We loved hosting a group of volunteers from Enterprise this week! They helped us prepare for our upcoming volunteer and foster appreciation event by setting up tents, tables, and more. They also had a great time socializing with some of our littlest puppies. If you'd like to bring your group to PAWS Atlanta, reach out to Sam at slong@pawsatlanta.org. Spaces are limited through the rest of the year, so contact us soon to get a spot!

Last weekend, a wonderful volunteer group from J.M. Huber Corporation lent a hand at the shelter. Only a few days after Hurricane Helene charged through the area, this group helped get our property back in tip-top shape. They filled in washed out areas, picked up countless tree limbs, and cleaned up the bags of cat litter that had been used as a barricade against the deluge of water from the storm. We were especially grateful for all the work this group did to help us get back to business as usual. 👏 If you would like to make a difference with your group, reach out to Sam at slong@pawsatlanta.org. There are only a few spots left for 2024, so grab one while you can! We're already scheduling for 2025, and we would love to have you.
