CNC Machinist - Wisconsin - PDQ Workholding (pdqwh.com)
Job description:
PDQ Workholding & Tooling is seeking a skilled CNC machinist with experience to manufacture parts for our world class fixturing and tooling. We use the latest CNC equipment to manufacture our fixtures and tools for the machining industry. We use MasterCam to program all machines, so this is an opportunity to expand upon your MasterCam knowledge. Employees are eligible for monthly bonuses and paid vacation after 90 days of employment as well as major medical insurance after 30 days of employment.
Responsibility:
Machinists program CNC machines to blueprint requirements and set up the machine to begin the manufacturing process of the part. Machinists load materials into CNC machines to be shaped. Once the cutting operation is performed the machinist inspects the fabricated part to ensure it matches specifications. Machinists are responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment and may operate multiple machines at any given time.
Job Duties:
- Program machine using MasterCam with help of lead CNC machinist to specifications of part blueprint
- Specific vertical 3, 4 and or 5 axis expertise and experience
- Skilled machinist position and not an operator position
- Set up and operation of CNC vertical Machining centers
- Working knowledge of G & M code programming
- Load materials into CNC machines lifting up to 50 pounds consistently
- Gauge parts to verify that they meet specification using calipers, micrometers, other quality approved gauging devises as required
- Listen for any sounds that may indicate a malfunction
- Document all issues with production in order to communicate effectively
- Plans stock inventory by anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders for stock and verifying receipt of stock
- Maintain work area in clean, neat, orderly fashion
- Must work safely at all times
Qualifications:
- 2+ years prior experience operating CNC machines
- 1+ year programming experience
- G & M code knowledge
- Knowledge of gauging equipment, including micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, etc.
- Must be a team player with the ability to communicate issues and problems to others
- Must enjoy a fast-paced manufacturing environment, results, oriented and self-motivated
