Peak Performers is seeking a team of highly skilled Program Specialist V's to join our partner’s Behavioral Health section as Substance Use Treatment Evaluators! In this #PartTime (20 hours/week) and #ShortTerm (8 weeks) role, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations of substance use disorder treatment procurement responses, ensuring quality and compliance with the standards of the Substance Intervention Treatment Program unit. This position will start in February 2025, and our partner aims to identify candidates by December 2024. A total of 30 positions are available. The Team: ➖ You will be working with a state of Texas government program that provides resources, prevention strategies, and support services for individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges. Major Duties: ➖ Conduct Evaluations (85%): Perform in-depth evaluations of proposed substance use services from grantees, analyzing their effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with program goals. ➖ Post-Evaluation Assessment (5%): Participate in post-evaluation assessments to provide feedback and recommendations for future procurement processes. ➖ Training Participation (5%): Collaborate in agency-sponsored training sessions to enhance understanding of the evaluation process and share best practices with fellow evaluators. ➖ Related Duties (5%): Undertake additional tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Behavioral Health section. What We’re Looking For: ➖ Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, psychology, or a related field. ➖ Demonstrated experience in program evaluation, particularly in substance use treatment. ➖ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. ➖ Ability to work independently with limited supervision and exercise sound judgment.
