Last week, Phillip Riccardi, APAC Commercial Director, had the privilege of attending the Asia Polyolefin Symposium in Bangkok. Centered around the theme "Thriving Together: Sustainable Collaboration for Success," the event gathered industry experts to explore emerging polyolefin trends, industry opportunities and challenges, innovation efforts, and sustainability in plastics packaging. Phillip was also honored to speak, delivering a compelling presentation on "Design for Sustainable Branding & Product Performance." We were pleased to attend alongside our colleagues from our partner Milliken Chemical, including Ronghui (Vincent) Wang, SEA Commercial Director, and Zhaolin Zhou, APAC Vice President.

We participated in a multi-week People Manager training program aimed at developing key managerial and leadership skills in the workplace. The program was designed to equip our leaders with the tools needed to thrive in their roles. After each training module, Kevin Putman Jr., President and CEO of Penn Color, Inc., hosted a fireside chat with an external speaker, who shared their insights and experiences on the course topics. We were honored to welcome three outstanding speakers: former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker, Michael Araten (CEO of Sterling Drive Ventures, LP), and Jim Brexler (CEO of Doylestown Health). They shared their diverse leadership experiences, effective strategies for success, and their insights on decision-making. A big thank you to Casey Nichols, SHRM-CP and Lin Huang SHRM-CP for facilitating the program. Our team gained valuable understanding of the key qualities needed to become an effective leader! #Leadership #PeopleDevelopment #ManagementTraining

Penn Color, Inc. is celebrating our 60th anniversary this year, and we had the pleasure of starting the festivities with our team in Asia! We enjoyed a series of team-building activities with our colleagues, and had the opportunity to give back by volunteering at an orphanage and by participating in a beach cleanup in Thailand. It was a meaningful experience that reinforced how we are truly #BetterTogether.

Full house! What a great National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) meeting in Kingsport, TN. A great audience as usual, and great speakers, including Mark Agerton from P&G. And of course, the crux of the meeting... the visit to Eastman molecular recycling facility: what a jaw-dropping site, and compelling demonstration of the very real ability to process “hard to recycle” plastics, at 100kt scale, with seamless integration with the mainstream production of specialty resins. Thank you to EASTMAN and Scott Ballard for hosting the meeting! #sustainability #innovation #recyclablepackaging
