The company works with independent insurance agents and brokers, offering underwriting, risk management, and claims expertise. It collaborates with managing general underwriters to provide specialized products and fosters a team-oriented working atmosphere where hard work and innovation are rewarded. The goal is to achieve steady growth while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities: Monitor and audit claims managed by third-party claims administration companies. Collaborate with claims adjusters and attorneys to develop appropriate strategies. Guide claims adjusters on subsequent actions and ensure timely progression of the claims process. Approve reserve increases and provide settlement authority beyond established levels. Document claims activity, strategies, legal opinions, and large loss reports provided by adjusters. Audit loss runs and check registers to approve funding for claims administrators. Present significant losses, reserve increases, and settlements to senior management for approval. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of experience in property and casualty claims adjusting. Experience with multi-jurisdictional claims, coverage evaluation, comparative negligence negotiations, and excellent customer service. Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, negotiation, computer, and people management skills. Background in auto liability, first and third-party property damage handling, bodily injury medical evaluations, and attorney negotiations. Experience in general liability and property claims handling is advantageous.
