About us
The Township of Pennsauken, Camden County, New Jersey is 12.2 square miles. Officially formed in 1892, Pennsauken Township is an active, involved, and very diverse community of approximately 35,000 residents. The community takes great pride in promoting the town’s long history. The Township of Pennsauken is a favorable location for residents because of its premier geographic location within Camden County and its close proximity to the cultural hub of Philadelphia and many major universities. Students and their families are supported by a staff of over 450 professionals and an additional 360 full and part-time support staff. The District is governed by a nine-member Board of Education. Board members are elected by public vote in November in staggered three-year terms.
