  • Meet Madison Barker – respiratory therapist at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital “I love the dynamic of night shift. Everyone works so well together. I started working nights while I was still in school – working at night while taking classes during the day. I liked it so much I never left!” Madison thrives in the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of the night shift, where she cares for pediatric patients while the world sleeps. What makes Penn State Health special to Madison? 🔹A close-knit night shift team that always has each other’s backs 🔹Extensive pediatric training for therapists looking to transition into this specialty 🔹The opportunity to grow, learn and make an impact every day Thinking about working third shift? Madison’s journey started with one decision. Where will yours start? https://bit.ly/3k6U9Jo

  • We’re proud to partner with The Edible Classroom to help create school gardens that serve as a powerful tool for hands-on learning and community growth. 🌱 Last week, Columbia Borough School District Hill Campus student interns, Veronica and Samir, kicked off planting season by putting the first seeds in the ground. School gardens provide discovery-based experiential learning, offering students a chance to engage with science, nutrition and the environment in real-world ways. These gardens not only promote healthy eating and exercise, but also help increase STEM education and support important life skills such as patience, responsibility and teamwork. Stay tuned as we watch these seeds grow into more than just plants — they’re growing future scientists, leaders and healthy communities! 🌻
