Live from CRT 2025! 👏 A team from WellSpan York Hospital's cardiac catheterization lab led by interventional cardiologist, Dr. Rhian Davies, recently performed a chronic total occlusion procedure to treat a complete blockage in a patient's heart that was livestreamed to the Cardiovascular Research Technologies conference. The conference is an annual, leading educational forum for cardiovascular professionals. #CRT2025

How it started ➡️ how it’s going! Last month, we celebrated new growth in cardiovascular care possibilities with a ribbon-cutting at our new cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab at WellSpan York Hospital. Today, we celebrate that work in action for our patients. The new space, which is now in use, offers state-of-the-art procedural rooms to increase access to the world-class cardiovascular care provided at the hospital that brings in patients both locally, as well as nationally as a renowned destination for care.

Exciting things are happening at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital! The team recently welcomed a da Vinci surgical system to the campus. This past week, Dr. Christopher Motto was interviewed by The Daily Item about the system and what it means for our patients. This addition of technology, coupled with highly skilled WellSpan surgeons and clinical team members, will soon bring minimally invasive surgical alternatives to the people of Lewisburg and beyond. The benefits of minimally invasive surgery for our patients cannot be underscored – this enhancement will help contribute to less pain, less scarring, less time spent in the hospital and less time required for recovery.

Our WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital team was recently honored with a 2024 Health Quality Innovator Award in the Workforce Resiliency category by Health Quality Innovators (HQI). The annual program highlights healthcare organizations that use evidence-based approaches to improve health care quality and outcomes. Congratulations on a well-deserved recognition, team! 👏
