Thanks to the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. (PLAN) for hosting a Domestic Violence Awareness Month CLE for legal aid staff, "The Trauma Informed Practice." Kimberly Hollenback, LASP VOCA Supervising Attorney & Media Office Managing Attorney, presented the virtual training Oct. 16, 2024. In addition to focusing on techniques and "lessons learned" in her Delaware County-based practice in domestic violence and obtaining Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders and other relief for survivors, Kim shared approaches applicable to all legal aid practice areas. Staff from PLAN member organizations can check the PLAN Brief & Information Bank for recording & materials! Legal Aid of Southeastern PA helps people obtain PFAs and address other legal issues related to domestic violence in Bucks, Chester, Delaware & Montgomery counties. lasp.org/domestic-violence #DVAM #DVAM2024 #traumainformed

We're pleased to share that The Honorable Kim Berkeley Clark was recently honored with the Dr. John E. Murray, Jr. Meritorious Service Award. As a former president and member of our Board of Directors, Judge Clark's leadership was marked by her commitment to serving others. Congratulations! 👏
The Honorable Kim Berkeley Clark, L’83, was the very deserving recipient of our Dr. John E. Murray, Jr. Meritorious Service Award at our Law Alumni Reunion Dinner. Judge Clark is a retired judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. She is the first African American to serve as President Judge in Allegheny County. Her career is extensive and prior to her retirement, she served as the President Judge of the 5th Judicial District of Pennsylvania (Allegheny County) from 2019 through 2023. Judge Clark's remarkable work, service, and vast honors extends decades and organizations. She is still a frequent lecturer, speaker, and panelist on subjects such as juvenile law, trauma-informed courts, engaging incarcerated parents, implicit bias, servant leadership, judicial leadership, and procedural justice at universities and colleges and for organizations.
