A new study by McKinsey & Company shows generative AI is changing the software development cycle. The study found AI can significantly improve product launch speed, PM productivity, and even job satisfaction. 🔹 Accelerated Time to Market: Generative AI tools have reduced the time to market by about 5% across a six-month product development life cycle (PDLC), allowing product managers to focus on more strategic activities. 🔹 Enhanced PM Experience: 100% of product managers reported an improvement in their work experience when using generative AI tools, with the technology automating high-toil tasks and enabling a focus on more meaningful activities. 🔹 Increased Productivity: Generative AI tools significantly boost productivity, particularly for content-heavy tasks like gathering and synthesizing information, creating content, and brainstorming, resulting in nearly twice the productivity gains compared to content-light tasks. 🔹 Improved Quality of Deliverables: Generative AI tools help product managers produce more accurate and complete outputs, although the impact varies based on the experience level of the PMs, with more experienced PMs maintaining higher quality outputs. https://lnkd.in/e3d6XESa #AI #LLM #ML #ArtificialIntelligence #CPO #ProductManagement #ProductLeadership
